Supacat ATMP 28mm

Supacat ATMP MK III

Almost a year that I didn't write anything in this blog, I was a little bit busy in these months, and most of all I am very lazy with English.

Named the "AII Terrain Mobility Platform"  it offers supreme cross-country performance and is now a well-known workhorse used in a wide variety of roles worldwide.
The ATMP can carry a substantial payload for a vehicle of its size which, combined with its "go anywhere" ethos, has made it the vehicle of choice for many years. Already proven on a variety of military operations, the ATMP can be transported within and below a range of air platforms providing instant mobility support for airborne and air-mobile forces on the ground.

This resin model from Barrage miniatures is a little toy, easy to assembly, just a main body, six wheels and a couple reinforcement tubes. I painted Atmp with XF-59 (Tamiya desert Yellow) and lighting with a mix of 90% XF-59 and 10% XF-2 White. A couple of washes Ak066 (DAK wash from Ak interactive) and finally a some pigment on wheels Ak041 (North Africa Pigment again from Ak interactive).

BT-5‏ FAST TANK

The BT-5 entered service in 1933 and, with gradual deliveries until 1935, equipped all armored cavalry brigades. The first active engagements came in Spain, in 1937, when a batch of 100 was shipped to the Republicans. They took part in the defense of Madrid. Some were captured later and saw service with the Nationalist Spanish state. Two brigades (6th and 11th Tank Brigade) were sent in the Far East, on the Sino-Russo-Mongolian border to face Japanese incursions of the time. They proved instrumental at Khalkin Gol, with many BT-7s, proving too fast for the Japanese AT teams and still deadly for any AVFs deployed. However, they proved vulnerable to "close quarter" Japanese teams armed with Molotov cocktails.

Not long after, they were deployed in eastern Poland. They also soldiered during the "Winter War" in Finland, proving ill-adapted for the task with their thin armor. Losses were appalling. Finnish troops used Molotov cocktails as well and quickly found a weak point where the engine was installed, prone to catch fire and explode when hit, as shown in reports. In 1941 there were still hundreds of BT-5s in service despite the type having been replaced by the BT-7. But hundreds were lost or abandoned, worn out, during the summer offensive, liquidating what was left of the model. Only the lack of spare parts prevented the use of surviving vehicles until later in the war.

CHURCHILL Mk VII

I've finished this Churchill heavy tank to reinforced my British Army. This model was made by warlord games. And equipment is from Blackdog resin.
I've discovered this brand  two months ago and I am an absolutely Fan. They have a lot of resin references in three scales. 1/35, 1/48 and 1/72. I bought five reference in 1/48 scale mainly wood boxes, bag, fuel cap, foods and box's drinks.
